Unfortunately at the time of writing this over 25,000 dogs are lost or stolen in the UK each year. Among these dogs are a small group of Pugs. These little joyful creatures are our babies and their theft should be taken seriously, please take a few minutes to sign the goverment pertition (link above).
There are a number of things we can do to help keep our little Pugs safe:-
- Never leave your Pug unattended in a car or even in your own garden or yard. unbelievable theft from our own property seems to be the most common way that these dogs are lost.
- Never leave your Pug in the care of a stranger.
- Make sure your Pug is chipped and registered.
- Don't let your Pug off lead if you are not sure of their recall skill.

| If you are looking to adopt a Pug be sure to ask the right questions and check they have the correct registration certificate, if you are unsure or uneasy, as difficult as it is you should walk away. It would also be wise to check the descriptions of missing Pugs on Dog Lost to check the adoption you are considering doesn't match the description of one that is missing, if it does contact Dog lost immediately.

If you have lost a Pug, by all means send us a picture and details and we will post it on our site, you can also use the lost/stolen section of our forum, You should in all cases contact Dog Lost, they have a huge network of people and are your best hope of getting your Pug back. They are a great team of people and are extremely helpfull and caring. |

Milo Tyler Orso, 3 Years old. Reported as Stolen from 36575, Alabama, Mobile area. Milo is my world! He stole my heart the first day i had him. He loves to play with balls and go for walks. He even likes to swim with me in the pool and play fetch. He is wearing tags, one says his name, and the other is his vet tags. He is wearing a black shoulder harness with skulls on it. I pray that he is found..he is my life!

Fancy, 11 Months old. Reported as Lost on the from framingham, midlessex area. On Thursday 06/03/2010 we lost our puppy at Callahan State Park in Framingham. The park expands to Marlborough, Southboro and near Sudbury. She is a pure breed pug. She has a black face, fawn body, and weighs 13 pounds. She has a right ear infection, and is on other medications, so she needs medical attention. She is only 11 months old. She belongs to my 5 year old nephew. He misses her dearly. If anyone sees her, or knows any information reguarding this puppy. The sooner we find her, the better. PLEASE, PLEASE let us know ASAP. Her primary vet is the Banfield in Framingham at Petsmart. Dotti, 5 Years old. Reported as Missing on the 2010-04-10 from PE14, Walpole Highway, Norfolk area. She has very little sight also a large lump inher tummy region, she is a very friendly little girl but will start to get frighten when put in a strange place due to her sight, she needs to have drops put in her eyes 3 times a day.

Ruby, 2 Years old. Reported as Stolen on the 2010-02-17 from SE18, Plumstead, London area. Ruby was stolen whilst being walked by her owner (my mum) not far from our house when my mum was attacked by 2 men and Ruby was stolen. We also have another Pug which luckily my mum managed to keep hold off, but to our devastation, they took our baby Ruby who is nearly 2 years old.

Charlie, 2 Years old. Reported as Missing on the 2009-04-02 from 11740, 3rd, suffolk area. Charlie went missing on April 1st 2009,In Greenlawn, Suffolk county New York, and I have been searching for him ever since. He was left with a friend for one night, and Charlie was never returned to me. I have been heartbroken and have tried everything to try and find him. But the person who had him lied to myself and local police as to where Charlie is. ahe is taller than the average pug which makes him stand out more. I am offering a thousand dollar reward for his safe return.

Frank, 12 Months old. Reported as Stolen on the 2009-11-11 from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear area. He was snatched from his garden in the Newcastle area last week. He is a lovely character which unfortunately means he would probably have gone happily with his snatchers. He is micro chipped and has been registered and reported missing to local and relevant authoritys .He has
also been on local news and in papers.
