2 Pugs and a Baby!!

February 6th, 2008

Both myself and George are proud to announce that we now have a human sister…. well, we weren’t too sure about the whole thing at first but we now think she is pretty cool and can’t wait for her to start getting about on her own and leaving a trail of crumbs behind her!

Abigail Georgina was born on the 24th January 2008 and weighed 7lb 12 ounces.

George’s Recovery

November 30th, 2007

Just a quick note just to say George has had his operation and is recovering well. Last night he slept with mummy and daddy and i had to sleep on my own, but i have spent the day with him today and he is very tired and got a few bald patches but is very cuddly and happy.

Good thing is he should’nt have any more problems with his eyes.

Pigmentary Keratitis!

November 22nd, 2007

I have just come back from the eye speacialist because my mum and dad noticed some strange discolouration on my eyes (and there i was thinking the shadows were after me), turns out i have Pigmentary Keratitis, this is pigment that affects the white surface area of the eyes, it is the result of many factors that irritate or inflame the cornea.

In my case there are hairs in the corners of my eyes that are rubbing my cornea every time i blink. So next Thursday i am off to the vets for surgery on both eyes to remove the cause.

Thanks to Chris Warren in Tavistock for diagnosing me and fitting me in so quick for corrective surgery

Archie will be standing in for me on the blog for the next couple of weeks

Smart Cars Not So Smart

November 1st, 2007

Being that I and Archie are Pugs we like to be stylish, fashionable and be seen in all the latest things so we were both ecstatic that we were adopted by parents with a Smart Car!

Problem is a few years later and 40,000 miles and the engine is dead so we now have to get lugged about in the other car (Kia…. Yuk, well actually it is a Sportage so it’s pretty cool but it is hard to see past that Kia badge, after all we are Pugs).

After a bit of Googling we found that the opinion of the motoring industry is that the Smart engine is only any good for 40-60,000 miles. Is this good enough, come on Smart there are lots of other small cars now on the market that are in my Puggy opinion both cheaper and more reliable (OK they might not look as funky).

Our Smart is now being binned and Mummy and Daddy are buying another type of car, hopefully it will be new, we like the new car smell, all smells are interesting to us.

Poorly Paws Update

August 28th, 2007

Luckily i have just been given the all clear for light exercise on grass, i no longer need the anti-biotics and paw baths, i can also leave the steroid cream off. Mummy and daddy are going to take me down the field later to see the Lamas.

Poorly Paws

August 21st, 2007

I have just found out after a visit to the vets that my poorly paws are the effect of chemical burns!!!!! yeap you read that right. One possible cause is pesticides being washed down off the fields during the horrible weather we had a couple of weakes ago.

To top that off i have a splinter in my front paw (probably because my pad was weakened by the chemicals) so i am stuck on house rest, no walks in the sun for me, i just get to watch out the window as mummy and daddy walk Archie.

So please be carefull where you walk and and check your paws.

Summer has arrived!

August 6th, 2007

Myself and Archie were worrying that summer would never arrive…. but we have had 4 days of bright sunny weather now, sure we had some rain last night but we had our run and had been to a garden party so were pretty tired and did’nt really care.

The only problem is all the plants have gotten so water logged that most have died, this is not good as i love to eat the fresh plants, munching on dead soggy stumps in my puccie rain coat is’nt much fun.

Link Spongers

June 15th, 2007

The those that are Pug World members or have subscribed to the newsletter mailing list may of noticed we sent out 3 newsletters close together recently because there were a couple of Pugs gone missing, luckily one has returned home safe and sound and hopefully Michelin Man will be safely returned soon. After sending the 3rd email we received a letter asking that we stop sending these newsletters from somebody that joined the forum and never posted anything……. Why you might ask, well looks like they just wanted to get there web site linked to improve there ranking with Google! SO there ranking is important to them and missing Pugs ar’nt? Obviously this person has now been removed. I would’nt of thought anyone who owns or knows a Pug would mind the odd emailabout one that has been lost or stolen. Have your say and reply to this Blog, let us know what you think. Are we wrong?
